With both Women's Equality Day and Business Women's Day coming up, we think it's important for our clients, prospects and partners to know that DBS is a woman-owned business with Rachel Theilacker as CEO.

Rachel Theilacker

Rachel started her career as a sales rep with DBS in 1993, shortly after graduating with a B.S. in Business, Management and Marketing from Pine Manor College. Rachel quickly become the top salesperson because of her second-to-none office equipment expertise and ability to solve client paper and productivity problems. Rachel and her husband Jeff acquired DBS in 2006.

Since then, DBS has grown significantly and has become the leading Toshiba MFP & copier dealer in San Diego. Under Rachel's leadership, DBS is also proud to support the Susan G. Komen organization in the fight against breast cancer.

Women's Equality Day: August 26

Originally called Women's Rights Day, this holiday commemorates the the 19th Amendment of the Constitution, which granted women the right to vote in the U.S. in 1920. Congresswoman Bella Abzug introduced legislation for Women's Equality Day in 1971 and the first celebration took place in 1972.

Business Women's Day: September 22

This holiday marks the founding date of the American Business Women's Association in 1949. Their mission: "To bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership; education, networking support and national recognition." Business Women's Day was recognized in 1983 and 1986 by Congressional resolution, followed by President Ronald Reagan issuing a proclamation on September 22, 1986.

According to the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), there are 10 million women owned businesses in the U.S., and DBS is proud to be one.
